Questions In Reply

So. . .a few days ago, I asked for some questions in celebration of my 1000 page views! Sadly, I didn't get many, but I did receive a few that I am glad to answer! So, here they are.

Jackie from Addicted to Pens and Paper emailed me:
So, here's my question - the photos on your blog are so well done, what kind of camera do you use and do you edit them in photo editing software? If so, which one - Photo shop, Photo shop Elements, Gimp...? Inquiring minds want to know.

So, thank you Jackie for complimenting my pictures! For Christmas this year, I received a Canon EOS Rebel T3i, and it is the only camera that I use. It has amazing quality, and it is so easy to load the pictures on my computer. Highly suggested! I rarely edit my pictures, but if I ever do, I would use Picmonkey.com , because it is free, easy to use, and gives great results. Thanks Jackie for your question!

Then. . .Heather from A Penchant for Paper emailed me a few questions.

1. What was the first pen that you remember using?

Well...The first Pens I EVER used were probably those BIC pens from Staples that come in like packs of 30. No offense BIC, but I am so tired of those. The first pen I ever ordered off of Jetpens was the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen, which I still have and use today. After that order of one pen, I fell in love. Haha.

2. What is your least favourite pen (or other stationery item)?

I rarely ever absolutely HATE a pen or stationery item, but I have come to strongly dislike a few. I am not very fond of the Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Its not that I don't use them, its just that I would rather use a different brush pen. I also don't very much like Uni-Ball Signo Sparkling Gel Ink Pen. They...just...UGH! don't buy them. I would have to think some more, but those are a few pens I do not like.

3. If you could use only one pen for a day, what would it be?

Truthfully, it depends on what I am doing. If it were a school day, then I would definitely go for my Lamy Safari, because I always take notes with it, and just love it!!! If it were a weekend or something, I can never get my hands off my Pilot Parallel Pen, because I always try to get better at Calligraphy, although I usually Fail!

Thank You Heather and Jackie for your questions. To all of you who didn't email me...you will regret it! Haha. Just kidding. I hope these responses help you with your life. Because I just love making your life better. Yeah!! Totally.

Disclaimer: All opinions are mineeeeeeee!

  2. Thanks for answering my questions as well, Kayte! The first pen I used was probably a Bic too, and my first JetPens pen was a Pentel Slicci 0.3mm gel pen - one of my favourite pens ever.

Will you share some of your calligraphy with us in the future? I'd love to see it. One of my goals is to get better at calligraphy as well, and currently I have a much-neglected calligraphy set in my closet that is begging to get used. The Pilot Parallel Pen is still on my wishlist...

    1. No problem!
I have the 2.4 mm pilot parallel pen, and have been practicing a bit. I just ordered the 3.4 mm one from Goulet Pens, and I hope to get it this weekend. I highly suggest the parallel pens! Great for calligraphy! I will share!
